Updates re Covid-19

The latest accurate information regarding the Covid-19 virus can be found at

It is best to be familiar with the facts and to avoid social media fake news.

To date, we have training all 3rd, 5th and 6th Years on the use of their new Office 365 accounts.

We have done a huge amount of work on updating our network infrastructure over the midterm and have been preparing for phase 2 of this work, the installation of wifi in all buildings, when school had to close. So the rollout of Office 365 to students was planned for after the Easter holidays.

We have moved quickly to get students familiar with the Microsoft service solution. It allows students to use Microsoft Teams to collaborate with teachers via email, message and to upload their work on Word, Excel or Powerpoint and to receive work too.

Ideally students should have access to a device, a laptop or pc so if anyone in the extended family can help out with this for the period of school closure, it would be very helpful.

All 6th Years will be receiving daily communications based on their timetabled classes and should be up and ready to study at 8.45 and go through their normal classes with their teachers.

Other students should also be doing classwork throughout the normal school day.

all students have been advised about work they can continue with.

If students have issues with using Office 365 please email

If you have other issues you need to contact the school about, please email

Please follow the advice from the HSE and restrict your teenagers interaction with their friends and follow the advice on the HSE Website re hygiene.
