PLC Information

Cabinteely Institute of Further Education was opened as part of Cabinteely Community School in 2020. It is situated on the grounds of Cabinteely Community School. Courses are designed to provide students with the necessary practical and interpersonal skills to work successfully in businesses large and small or to continue on to diploma and degree level in further education.

We hope to play an integral part in the local community as we provide local employers with first class prospective employees with up-to-date information technology skills and excellent inter-personal skills and third level colleges and universities with exceptionally prepared and motivated students.

ENROLMENTS ARE NOW TAKING PLACE FOR THE FOLLOWING COURSES WHICH WILL COMMENCE IN SEPTEMBER.

One year QQI Level 5 Business Management 5M2102 (full-time)

Description and Qualification:

Following completion of this one-year course, a successful candidate can pursue a career in many business settings including Office Administration, Retail, HRM, Marketing and Finance.

This course is highly intensive and is open to Post Leaving Certificate Students and Mature Students.

One year QQI Level 5 HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT 5M4339 (Fulltime)

Description and Qualification:

This course equips a candidate with the qualifications necessary to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, day and residential care and the home.

· First Aid and CPR

· Manual Handling and Patient Moving Certificate

FURTHER STUDIES

QQI graduates are eligible to apply to Universities and Institutes of Technology for follow on courses using the qualifications obtained from the above course.
