I enjoyed my time in CCS. I made some really good friends, made great memories and always found the teachers so helpful. I went to UCD for 4 years and studied computer science. I graduated this year and am working for Bank of America as a software Engineer.
I really enjoyed my time at CCS. My teachers always made me feel "I could" and made sure I got to where I needed to be by opening my eyes to all my different options. I’m now a teacher of English and History in CCS.
I had a really good time at Cabinteely. I made a lot of friends there, and I had a lot of fun there. I loved all my teachers, and I thought they were all great. They helped me a lot on my journey to the Leaving Cert, and they helped me get a great result on my Leaving Cert and get into my first choice course - Maths at UCD. I'm really glad I chose this school and I highly recommend it.
I had a fantastic time at Cabinteely where I had some amazing opportunities from being on the school council and getting to implement changes to playing basketball, becoming an All Ireland Champion! The school was always a positive supportive environment which brought the best out of you and set me on my pathway.
I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and took History, Geography & Maths in a Bachelor of Arts Degree at UCD. It was the support of my old teachers at Cabinteely which helped me get my teaching placement at the University of Nottingham. I loved my job as a Maths teacher but my heart was always in supporting those with additional needs. I completed a postgraduate in Leadership & Special Needs and am currently working as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator in a school of 1200 students. I always look back at my days at Cabinteely with fond memories and I hope that I create the same inclusive culture for the students I work with today.
